Parents and caregivers are essential partners in this work. Prior to introducing me to your child, we’ll typically start with a 90 minute parent session so I can understand the presenting concerns, relevant history, and what you’re hoping therapy can offer. Sometimes an additional parent session may be necessary, depending on complexity. With your permission, I’m also happy to consult with other important people in your child’s life (e.g., pediatricians, school counselors, previous therapy providers) to build a fuller picture of your child and their village.

Child & Adolescent Therapy

Child Therapy

Play is a child’s natural language; it’s how they explore and make sense of their world. When children aren’t yet able to talk about their feelings directly, we use imaginative play, games, and art to help them process big emotions and communicate their needs in age appropriate ways. I often incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as parent coaching sessions to help reinforce your child’s therapy work at home. Sessions are held in person and run 45 minutes. Common presenting concerns include anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and behavioral challenges.

Ages 3 - 12 years

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescence is all about identity exploration and individuation. With teens, my approach is interpersonal, emphasizing the connection between of social relationships and mental health. I also integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A), when appropriate. Sessions are held either in person or via tele-health, and run 45 minutes. Common presenting concerns include anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationships, bullying, body image, and behavioral challenges.
