Isabelle Boundy, LCSW

Isabelle is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist in New York City, specialized in the treatment of children, teens, adults, and perinatal women. She received her Masters in Social Work from Columbia University with a specialization in Clinical Practice with Children and Families.

Isabelle’s therapeutic approach is psychodynamic and interpersonal, emphasizing the role of relationships past and present— including the therapeutic relationship. She works collaboratively with clients to identify what feels most pressing right now, then explore personal history to make meaningful connections between past and present. Her treatment approach is informed by her training at the William Alanson White Institute and the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR). Through IPTAR, Isabelle has specialized training in child and adolescent psychotherapy, and has successfully used play therapy to treat children with significant trauma histories.

Isabelle has further training in the treatment of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) at The Motherhood Center of New York, where she worked with pregnant and postpartum women— as well as their infants and partners— struggling in the transition to motherhood.

When working with parents, children, and teens, Isabelle believes in the power of holistic treatment that considers larger family systems and all who make up your and your child’s village.
